Cookery and African food bank

Cookery skills, healthy eating, and a drop-in with free tea, coffee and food.

Families sharing food at the MEG community Christmas party

MEG runs an African food bank and cookery sessions, plus drop-ins with free tea and coffee, for people who cannot afford food.

We teach cookery skills and healthy eating. Our drop-in sessions offer free tea and coffee, and an African food bank when funds or donations allow. We have run the food bank twice a week since 2018.

We most need: long-life milk, flour, chapatti flour, sugar, tea bags, tinned tomatoes, soup, beans, tuna, potatoes, dried pulses and spices, rice, cleaning products and toiletries.
